BASIC INFORMATION
Brna is a small town and bay on the southern side of the island of Korčula, belonging to the municipality of Smokvica, the bay is divided into two parts by the peninsula Mali Zaglav. The town can be reached in several ways, car ferry lines dock 20 and 25 km from the town in Vela Luka and Korčula, respectively. It can also be reached by bus, there are lines within the island, and daily lines with Dubrovnik and Zagreb. The nearest airports are in Dubrovnik and Split.
HISTORY, CULTURE, ATTRACTIONS
In the 19th century, Brna served as a port for transporting wine from Smokvica to ports on the Adriatic and the Mediterranean. Over time, the place developed and became a tourist destination with numerous amenities. Pine forests and Mediterranean plants surround the entire area, making walks in this area a real pleasure. Stone houses, idyllic streets, and a rich cultural heritage dominate Smokvica, 4 km away, including: the parish church of the Virgin Mary of the Purification with a large bell tower, the Big and Small Markets, and a loggia from 1700.
BEACHES
Crystal clear sea, beautiful nature and breathtaking views best describe this area. You can swim on a small sandy beach in the town itself or in Istruza, which is a neighboring bay with an equally beautiful sandy beach that hides deep deposits of healing mud under the sand and is suitable for children and contains sports fields. The Prišćapac apartment complex is also one of the options, it has a pebble beach and is only 3 km away.
OTHER CONTENT
This area is known for its gastronomic specialties and high-quality wines, we will single out the grill pizzeria Žal and the tavern Brna. The town also has several cafes, such as the Riva cafe and the Giovani cafe, while for nightlife lovers there is the town of Korčula, which has a nightclub.
SPORT
In addition to swimming, sailing and diving, you can also have fun on some of the numerous sports fields in the neighboring bay of Istruga, or you can simply enjoy long walks in this fairytale place.
SIGHTSEEING, EXCURSIONS
In addition to visiting other places on Korčula, you should also visit the wider surroundings, for example: Dubrovnik, the Pelješac Peninsula, Mljet National Park, Lastovo Nature Park or neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina and Međugorje. There are organized excursions from Korčula for all of the listed locations.

You can find accommodation in modernly equipped private houses and apartments or in the famous Aminess Lume Hotel, which is located in a quiet location next to the sea in the center of town. The nearest ferry ports are in Vela Luka and Korčula.
