BASIC INFORMATION AND LOCATION

Milna is a village on the southern side of the island of Hvar, in Split-Dalmatia County. It is located 6 km east of the town of Hvar. Milna has a permanent population of 90 who are engaged in agriculture, fishing and tourism. There is organized boat transportation from the port of Hvar if you arrive by catamaran from Split or by car from Stari Grad if you arrive by ferry.

CULTURE, HISTORY AND ATTRACTIONS

Milna is the youngest settlement on Hvar, but one of the oldest Croatian resorts, founded at the very beginning of Hvar tourism. Its distinctly country atmosphere is confirmed by the old summer house from the 17th century of the old Hvar noble family Ivanić. The patron saint of Milna is St. Theodore, and the feast day is November 9th.

BEACHES

Milna has 4 spacious pebble beaches, two in the town and two in the immediate vicinity. These are Vela and Mala Milna, Velo and Malo Borče. The coastal area is wooded and gentle, covered with pine trees, vineyards and olive groves.

OTHER CONTENT

In Milna there are numerous restaurants where you can taste traditional Dalmatian specialties and taste the top wines of the island of Hvar. These are the restaurants Milina, Robinson, Kod Barba Bozijeg, Fortuna and Oaza; the taverns Mala Milna and Moli Onte and the tavern Lambik Milna.

SPORT

Those who are more active on vacation are offered tennis courts and a diving school, recreational hiking, boat rentals and a local attraction - donkey riding.

WHAT TO DO AND EXCURSION OPPORTUNITIES

Boat trips to the islands of Vis, Biševo, Korčula and Mljet are organized from the town. You can reach Split daily via Stari Grad or Hvar, and the island itself offers numerous possibilities for one-day visits.
